<Summary
In our South Africa vs Pakistan Dream11 Prediction, we have considered the absence of five key players in the SA squad as the most important factor for our team selection. Accordingly, we have preferred Pakistan players over their South Africa counterparts, whenever we had to make a tough choice.
To begin with, we preferred Rizwan as our wicket-keeper over Klaasen. Md Rizwan has been in great form across formats.
Choosing our batsmen was a bit tougher. Babar Azam was the only automatic choice. For the other options, we had several good batsmen to consider from both teams. In the end, we went for Bavuma and Van Der Dussen from the SA squad, while ignoring the claims of such other South African players as Malan and Markram. We also had to overlook the likes of Imam-ul-Haq and Haider Ali from the Pakistan squad, instead opting for Fakhar Zaman.
We had many choices for the all-rounder position. Choosing among Phehlukwayo, Maharaj, Shadab Khan, Faheem Ashraf, we opted for Shadab Khan for his batting ability. We could not ignore Phehlukwayo as the best SA all-rounder. Ashraf reserved our third all-rounder spot.
Our bowling choices were the easiest. With Rabada, Ngidi and Nortje missing, we went with Shaheen Afridi, Pakistan’s best bowler across formats, along with Haris Rauf. We needed one more SA player and we gave that spot to Shamsi.
While choosing our captain and vice-captain, we went with the popular choices, Babar Azam and Md Rizwan.
