Rishabh Pant to Continue as Delhi Capitals Captain in IPL 2021 in UAE
Delhi Capitals will continue to be led by Rishabh Pant in the second leg of the IPL 2021 that began in the UAE on 19 September. The India keeper-batsman will remain captain for the rest of the season, according to a media release by the franchise.

“JSW-GMR co-owned Delhi Capitals today announced that Rishabh Pant will continue as captain for the remainder of the 2021 season of the Indian Premier League. Delhi Capitals is currently on top of the points table with 6 wins from 8 matches and will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on the 22nd of September when the league resumes in the UAE.”
PaPant Made Skipper after Injury to Iyer
reyas Iyer handed over the captaincy to Pant after the former had injured himself while playing for India in the first ODI of the home series versus England in March 2021. Iyer led DC to the final of the 2020 edition in the UAE, in which they were beaten by Mumbai Indians. DC took on Sunrisers Hyderabad in their first game of the second leg on 22 September.
