David Warner was the Orange Cap winner in the IPL 2019 season, with 692 runs in 12 matches at an average of 69.20, helping Sunrisers Hyderabad to the playoffs. He had one ton and 8 fifties at a strike rate of 143.86, including 57 fours and 21 sixes. He made his top score of 100 not out in a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on 31 March. He had enjoyed an opening stand of 185 before fellow opener Jonny Bairstow got out. Warner carried his bat through to help Sunrisers to 231/2. In reply, RCB were bowled out for 113. Warner’s innings contained 5 fours and 5 sixes.

Lokesh Rahulp>Second on the list of scorers, Lokesh Rahul, made 593 runs in 142 matches at an average of 53.90 with one ton and 6 fifties at a strike rate of 135.38, including 49 fours and 25 sixes. His top score of 100 not out in 64 balls was scored at Mumbai. Kings XI Punjab batted first with Rahul and Gayle adding 116 for the first wicket before Gayle was dismissed. With little support from other batsmen, Rahul fought a lone battle to carry his team’s score to a competitive 197/4. However, MI’s home advantage won the day as they chased down the target on the last ball.

He made the top score of 81 off 52 balls on 13 April against Rajasthan Royals at Mumbai. Batting first, MI got off to a good start with Sharma and de Kock putting on 96 for the first wicket but a regular fall of wickets did not allow the home side to capitalise on de Kock’s form as RR successfully chased down the target of 188 with three balls to spare.

His top score of 97 not out in 63 balls was made during a successful chase of 179 against KKR at Kolkata. The bulk of Dhawan’s runs came in a 105-run stand with Rishabh Pant, earning Dhawan the Man of the Match award.

He had a top score of 80 not out in 40 balls with 8 sixes and 6 fours. Russell’s innings against MI at Kolkata on28  April helped his side to a formidable score of 232/2, resulting in a 34-run victory, after Mumbai’s chase fell short.

His innings, which contained 5 sixes and 10 fours, came against RCB, his former team. Unfortunately, Gayle didn’t get much support from KXIP’s other batsmen on the day, and the final score of 173/4 was inadequate.

His top score of 78 not out helped Delhi Capitals beard the Mumbai Indians in their own den. In the match held on 24 March, Pant came to the crease with his side on 3/112 at the fall of Colin Ingram’s wicket. He proceeded to smash the MI bowlers with disdain in a 27-ball knock that contained 7 fours and 7 sixes. MI were bowled out for 176 in 19.2 overs.

His top score of 100 off 58 balls with 4 sixes and 9 fours helped RCB to a daunting score of 213/4 against KKR at Kolkata. Despite the home side’s strong batting lineup, they fell short of RCB’s score by 10 runs.

His innings, made in the company of Prithvi Shaw, Colin Ingram and Rishabh Pant, helped Delhi Capitals chase down the target of 150 with more than an over to spare.

His top score of 71 not out was scored in 54 balls with 10 fours on 7 May against Chennai Super Kings. What made the innings exceptional was that it came in a successful chase of 132 in the first qualifier, helping MI to enter the final.
