In this article, we look at the 10 top batsmen who have scored the most runs in ODI for India. Sachin Tendulkar leads the group with 18426 runs, not only the most ODI runs by a batsman for India, but also the most by any batsman in the world. Other names on the list include such still active players as Virat Kohli.

Between 1989 and 2012, Tendulkar played 463 matches and scored 18426 runs, not only the most runs in ODI for India, but also a world record. He scored his runs at an average of 44.83 with 49 tons and 96 half-centuries, including his top score of 200 not out. Incidentally, Sachin has scored most of his runs against Sri Lanka: in 84 matches against them, Sachin scored 3113 runs at 43.84 with 8 tons and 17 half-centuries, including the top score of 138.
