Highest-Paid PSL Players
Players in the Pakistan Super League have been divided into five different pay categories, namely Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver and Emerging. A player in the Platinum Category can earn between US$ 160,000 and 250,000. A Diamond Category player can earn between US$ 80,000 and 100,000. The pay scale for a Gold Category player can range from US$ 50,000 to 70,000, while that for a Silver Category player would range between US$ 24,000 and 40,000. An Emerging player in the PSL can expect to earn between US$ 12,000 and 13,000.

Top Highest-Paid PSL Players: 2021 Update
The following is a team-wise list of top earners in the PSL.
Islamabad United
IU has the following players in the Platinum Category:
Shadab Khan: One of Pakistan’s premier all-rounders, Shadab has scored 438 runs in 17 PSL games at 16.84 with three fifties, including the highest score of 77 and a strike rate of 134.35. Shadab has also taken 37 wickets at 28.18 at an economy rate of 7.16 with the best bowling figures of 3/13.
Alex Hales: English opener Hales has played 15 PSL matches and scored 401 runs at 33.41 with two fifties, including his top score of 80 not out and a strike rate of 135.93.
Hasan Ali: One of Pakistan’s premier pacemen, Hasan Ali has taken 59 wickets in 45 PSL games at 20.93 with an economy rate of 7.47. He has registered his best bowling figures of 4/15.
The Diamond Category players include Faheem Ashraf and Lewis Gregory, while the Gold Category players are Asif Ali, H Talat and Phil Salt.
Karachi Kings
KK has the following players in the Platinum Category:
Babar Azam: Pakistan’s best batsman across formats, Azam has made 1516 runs in 47 PSL games at 37.90. He has scored 14 fifties, including the highest innings of 78, with a strike rate of 117.97.
Colin Ingram: South African batsman Ingram has scored 793 runs in 32 PSL matches at 33.04. He has registered one ton and three fifties, including the top score of 127 not out. He has enjoyed a strike rate of 152.79.
Md Amir: Amir, a paceman who has starred for Pakistan internationally, has taken 49 wickets in 48 PSL games at 25.48 with an economy rate of 7.15 and best bowling figures of 4/25.
The Diamond category players include skipper Imad Wasim, Md Nabi, and Dan Christian, while the Gold Category players are Sharjeel Khan, Aamer Yamin and Chadwick Walton.
LaLahore Qalandars
has the following players in the Platinum Category:
Md Hafeez: Pakistan’s old warhorse, batting all-rounder Hafeez has scored 1002 runs in 48 PSL games at 25.69 with six fifties, including the highest score of 98 not out, with a strike rate of 117.33.
Shaheen Afridi: Shaheen Afridi, one of Pakistan’s premier fast bowlers currently active in international cricket, has taken 27 wickets in 27 PSL matches at 22.58 with an economy rate of 7.79 and best bowling figures of 5/4.
Rashid Khan: Afghanistan’s star all-rounder Rashid Khan will be playing in the PSL in 2021 for the first time in his cricketing career.
The Diamond category players are Fakhar Zaman, David Wiese and Haris Rauf, while the Gold Category players are Samit Patel, Ben Dunk and Dilbar Hussain.

Chris Lynn: Australian batsman Chris Lynn has scored 284 runs in 8 PSL games at 40.57 with one ton and one fifty, including the top score of 113 not out. He has scored his runs at a strike rate of 179.74.
Shahid Afridi: One of Pakistan’s greatest all-rounders in international cricket, Shahid Afridi has scored 462 runs in 46 PSL matches at 17.11 with the top score of 54, his only half-century, at a strike rate of 155.5. Afridi has also taken 42 wickets at 23.61 with an economy rate of 6.76 and best bowling figures of 5/7.
The Diamond Category players are Khushdil Shah, Sohail Tanvir and Imran Tahir, while the Gold Category Players are Vince, Shan Masood and Usman Qadir.

Wahab Riaz: Riaz, an outstanding paceman for Pakistan internationally, has played 55 PSL games in which he has taken 76 wickets at 18.71 with an economy rate of 7.01 and best bowling figures of 3/17.

Sarfaraz Ahmed: Ahmed, a wicket-keeper-batsman who has captained Pakistan internationally, has scored 868 runs in 52 PSL games at an average of 28.00 and a strike rate of 125.07. He has scored three fifties, including his top score of 56 not out.
The Diamond Category players are Md Nawaz, Ben Cutting and Md Hasnain, while the Gold Category Players are Azam Khan, U Shinwari and Nasim Shah.
